The 2006 Fornace is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 20% Sangiovese that spends 15 months in French oak, 30% new. It is a big, full-bodied offering layered with scents of licorice, spices and menthol that add complexity to the dark red fruit, all of which is supported by the grip that informs all of the estate’s wines.
