The deep-colored 1995 Brindisi reveals tar/melted asphalt and earthy notes, as well as more body and spice. It is a solidly made red that should be drunk uncritically in bistros or trattorias. A fine value from this backwater region of southern Italy, this wine is made from a blend of Malvasia Nera and Negroamaro.
