The 1996 Salice Salentino exhibits a light ruby color, as well as a soft, berry fruitiness, not much body or length, but delicious fruit that has been presented in an easily quaffable style. It should be drunk over the next year. A fine value from this backwater region of southern Italy, this wine is made from a blend of Malvasia Nera and Negroamaro.
