Impressive, with its 70% whole cluster inclusion showing front and center, the 2011 Pinot Noir Las Hermanas exhibits savory aromas and flavors (white pepper, meat, spice and darker berry fruit), a big, rich mid-palate and a seamless, totally brilliant texture that keeps you coming back to the glass. Count me a fan and this beauty should round into form in another year or two and shine through 2021. Drink 2015-2021.
This is a great lineup by Chad Melville. Neutral oak, no SO2 until racking, varying degrees of whole cluster, native yeasts and a very cold cellar are the name of the game here and these are have individual, unique profiles. They also remain reasonably priced given the quality. These are all impressive wines and well worth checking out!
