The 2005 Syrah Mrachek Vineyard contains 1.5% Viognier and 1.5% Counoise. Aromas of blueberry, meat and game are followed by a restrained, elegant wine with savory flavors and moderate length. Drink it over the next 6 years. Michael and Laura Laurent Mrachek began as fruit growers. They saw wine grapes as a way to diversify, all of which led to a winery on the Wahluke Slope near the Columbia River.
