The 2008 Burgoyne’s Block Mourvedre Shiraz Grenache gives a deep garnet color and aromas of warm blackberries, raspberry conserve and cassis with hints of tree bark and tar. Warm berry fruit on the palate is balanced by high acidity with a low to medium level of soft tannins to lend structure. Long in the finish, drink this now to 2014.
