The 2019 Signature Series Cabernet Sauvignon hails from Margaret River, amid a cool and wet season. 2019 was responsible for some sensational releases, both in Chardonnay and Cabernet; however, the weather during the growing season did seem to divide the region. Here, the wine is aromatically stalky and green, with bramble, freshly turned earth, cassis and mulberry. It's an elegant, mid-weight wine that seems as much held up by oak as it is fruit. This delicate wine is from a lovely but sometimes challenging season. I would have liked to see a little more fruit concentration and density here. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
