The 2018 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard, aged 10 months in 63% new French oak, has a medium ruby-purple color and opens with blueberry and strawberry fruits with accents of lilac and lemon peel. The medium-bodied palate is soft and juicy with bright, floral-laced fruits and a long, perfumed finish. 742 cases produced.

Pale to medium ruby and shy on the nose to begin, with time the 2017 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard gives up scents of cranberries, red cherries, raspberries and strawberries with touches of chaparral, dried flowers, orange peel, cinnamon stick and dried leaves. Medium-bodied and very silky in texture, it offers excellently restrained, perfumed fruits with lovely freshness and a long, floral finish. 717 cases were made.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard has a medium ruby color and scents of fresh blackberries and cranberries with nuances of dried citrus peel, tree bark, bitters, nutmeg and potpourri. The medium-bodied palate offers great balance of fresh fruit and bitter/spicy character, with a grainy frame and lifted finish.

The 2015 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard has an earthy nose of dried leaves and dusty soil over a core of red cherries and red plums, plus notes of spice box and black pepper. Medium-bodied and with a wicked backbone of refreshing acidity, it has satiny tannins and tons of juicy red berry flavors, finishing on an earthy note. 640 cases were made.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard is another silky, savory effort from Roar that offers lots of dried spice, dried flowers and red fruits as well as medium-bodied richness, a supple texture and outstanding length. It shows the fresher style of this site and is already drinking beautifully. Nevertheless, it should keep through 2024.
