The Ricossa 2017 Nizza Noceto (closed with a red wax capsule) is a ripe and richly layered expression of Barbera. The wine shows lots of black or plummy fruit, with blackberry confit and cherry liqueur. You will also recognize quite a few oak-driven aromas of Spanish cedar, spice and cured tobacco. These results are robust and full-bodied; however, the mouthfeel is a bit more tender and short lived.
