"The 2013 Clos Saint Denis Grand Cru had actually been bottled just a few days before my visit. It has a well-behaved, you could almost say, mild-mannered bouquet that gently unfolds. Matured entirely in new oak, the wood occupies the driving seat at the moment, although there seems to be sufficient depth of fruit to absorb that in time. There is a pleasant salinity on the finish – a good omen for the future."
