Dill-, fennel-, and lime-scented, Regis Minet’s 2009 Pouilly-Fumé Vieilles Vignes displays succulence but also freshness and an invigorating edge of berry-skin and citrus rind bitterness. Fennel, lime peel, green tomato, chalk, and salt inform a relatively full-bodied but neither warm nor harsh and, indeed, satin-textured palate, leading to a finish of satisfying length.
