Aged in Slavonian oak for 30 months, the 2018 Brunello di Montalcino in a gray label offers medium fruit weight and intensity. The wine's appearance is characterized by dark garnet hues and that pretty ruby tinge that comes with Sangiovese. The bouquet is subdued with downplayed cherry, dried plum, earth, cola and grilled herb. The tannins are softly tucked in at the back, and the wine shows good freshness. This vintage just lacks significant depth. Production is 19,882 bottles.
