The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a deep garnet-purple color and moderate to intense aromas of cassis, blackberry, pencil lead and a whiff of dried mint. Crisp in the mouth with a medium level of grainy, slightly astringent tannins, it gives good concentration and a long fruity finish. Drink this one now to 2016. Established in 1991, Pepper Tree produces about 50,000 cases out of the Hunter Valley, Coonawarra, Wrattonbully and Orange.
