Tighter and less expressive than the Polish Hill River bottling, the 2019 Watervale Riesling is a taut, crisp expression of the variety, strongly marked by bright lime notes. It's medium-bodied, with a tart, almost sour finish. Delicious now as a wine to have with oysters, this could be even better in 4-5 years' time and should drink well through 2030.

The 2014 Watervale Riesling has a lemon-lime, zesty and steely nose showing some white pepper and wet pebbles notes. Dry and light-bodied, it is approachable to drink now. It finishes long and citrusy.

The 2013 Watervale Riesling opens with aromas of fresh lime juice, green apple and wet slate with a touch of dill seed. Dry, light-bodied and very crisp, it has a great intensity of tightly wound citrus flavors and plenty of tension in the long finish. Drink it now to 2020+. No known USA importer.

The 2012 Watervale Riesling is profoundly scented of golden delicious apples, pink grapefruit and green guava with suggestions of honeysuckle and jasmine. Dry and light-bodied with a great acid line cutting through the wonderfully forward exotic fruit flavors, it concludes with a good, long finish. It is approachable now and will drink to 2022+.
