This is my first taste of a red wine from this estate, and the results are very encouraging. The Sangiovese fruit in the 2012 Sono Montenidoli is presented in a very clean and linear style, with immediate aromas of dried raspberry, cassis and moist potting soil. This wine is fermented in cement vats and aged in French barrique. The wine's texture is fine and silky, but there is enough power and grit to hold firm on the palate. Only 2,000 bottles were produced.
