The 2007 Sant’Antimo Romito dei Vittori is a fruit-forward blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 15% Sangiovese that shows evolved aromas of licorice, tar and pipe tobacco backed by blackberry syrup and creme de cassis. The fruit component is warm, bold and opulent and is just beginning to show some of the nuances gained with bottle age.
