Deep garnet in color with a slight purple hue, the 2011 Shiraz presents aromas of warm black plums, crushed black currants and tar with a whiff of bacon. Medium-bodied, it has just enough black fruit and earthy flavors framed by a pleasant grip of tannins before finishing with moderate persistence. Drink it now through 2015. Medium-deep garnet in color, the 2008 Shiraz gives aromas of black raspberry, black cherries, freshly cracked black peppercorns and dried Mediterranean herbs. Medium-bodied and crisp in the mouth, it has just enough blackberry flavor supported by a medium level of slightly astringent tannins and gives a medium-long, peppery finish.
