The 2016 Nuits Saint Georges Village comes from the Vosne-Romanée side this year (the Prémeaux side affected by frost). The nose is a mixture of red and blue fruit, nicely defined albeit without the definition of the Vosne-Romanée. The palate is medium-bodied with fine delineation, nicely structured with a touch of salinité on the finish. Not bad at all but I would drink this in its flush of youth.

The 2015 Nuits Saint Georges Village comes half and half from Premeaux and the Vosne-Romanée side of the appellation. The 30% new oak comes across more conspicuously on the nose, perhaps not tempered by the whole bunch that was not used in this blend. But there is very good depth of fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded, slightly sinewy tannin. There is very good depth of fruit here, a mixture of red and black, though I would like just a little more mineralité and tension to come through on the finish. Given the substance in display here, I wouldn't hesitate giving this 2-3 years in bottle.

The 2014 Nuits Saint Georges Village has a rounded, quite generous bouquet in the making with crushed strawberry and raspberry scents neatly entwined with the 25% new wood. The palate is sweet on the entry, a little chewy in the mouth with a very foursquare finish that is in stark contrast to the aromatics. Hopefully it will flesh out in bottle a little.
