The 2014 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos des Ormes has a vivacious, candied red cherry-scented bouquet that almost has a Gamay-like persona. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, light in the mouth, quite pointed towards the finish that should flesh out a little by the time of bottling. There is just joie-de-vivre in this Morey-Saint-Denis.

The 2013 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos des Ormes, which was one of Pascal Marchand's original wines, has a fragrant bouquet with bright brambly red berry fruit with hints of kirsch and rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, decent weight in the mouth, a little chewy but needing just a little more precision on the finish. Otherwise fine.
