The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Grande Montagne is one of the comparative high points of Louis Latour's white portfolio this year, offering up notes of yellow stone fruit, pears and white flowers, framed by a light application of nutty new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, with no profound reserves of depth or concentration, but nice balance for the near term and chalky grip on the finish.
