The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques (Domaine Louis Jadot) was also showing well, unfurling in the glass with a complex nose of sweet wild berries, candied peel, rich loamy soil, grilled meats and wood smoke. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, with good depth and concentration at the core, ripe tannins and good length on the finish.
