Made in a rich, full and layered style, the 2015 Vacqueyras Seigneur de Lauris Blanc (60% Grenache Blanc, 10% Viognier, 10% Bourboulenc, 10% Marsanne, 5% Roussanne and 5% Clairette) was fermented and aged in barrel. Sautéed peaches, honeysuckle, brioche and some butter oak all emerge from the glass, and it has plenty of fruit and depth on the palate, yet it's just a touch rough around the edge. It will be interesting to see how this comes together in bottle.
