The 2004 Rosso Conero Visions of J. is 100% Montepulciano aged in new French oak for 12 months. It is a soft-textured wine with a deep, dense personality. It offers plenty of dark fruit and sweet toasted oak, but needs at least another year or two to come together. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016. This small property located in the Marche has been owned by the Terni family since the late 1800s. Antonio Terni is a long-time fan of Bob Dylan, whose music has been the inspiration of many of the wines. The quantity of new oak as well as concentration level increases with this wine. Made from 100% Montepulciano aged in barriques, it is a dense ruby/purple-colored wine with lots of glycerin, thickness, and richness. The oak is in balance in this medium to full-bodied, internationally-styled, pure, concentrated, well-balanced effort. It should drink well for a decade.
