A very lovely blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, with rich flavors and classic dryness. Shows delicious blackberry, black cherry, currant and dried herb flavors, touched with smoky oak, and wrapped into gentle tannins. It’s fair to call this a junior version of Lancaster’s more expensive, superb Bordeaux-style wines. Like them, it’s rich in black currant and cedar flavors, and quite tannic, a wine that needs a few years to come around. It’s also a touch more rustic.
