I enjoyed the 1997 Fume Blanc slightly more than the Sauvignon Blanc because of its riper, plusher texture. A tiny amount of Semillon is added for fatness. It exhibits good, waxy, melony fruit, and like many of these wines, good purity and a fruit-driven personality.Release date, 9/98.The reasonably-priced Vintner's Reserve series of Kendall-Jackson's wines are noteworthy for their faithfulness to their varietal personality and their reasonable prices.
