There are 77,000 cases of the 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot Collage Series (65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot). It is a soft, ripe, attractive effort with surprising Merlot character (the same can not be said for the vast majority of California Merlots priced 3-10 times higher). Coffee, caramel, berry fruit, and a hint of cocoa are present in this round, light to medium-bodied, supple-textured red. Drink it over the next 1-2 years.
