The 2009 Bolgheri Greppicaia wraps around the palate with black cherries, espresso, mocha and tar. The 2009 boasts plenty of depth and richness in a very typical expression of Bolgheri. There is a plushness that is quite inviting. Greppicaia is 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc that spent 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% new.
