My favorite of the extensive range of wines presented on this occasion, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between masterfully combines dusty loam notes with hints of sage and dark chocolate, then backs those savory nuances with layers of ripe cherries, black cherries and even something akin to boysenberries. It's a full-bodied, silky effort, tannic yet ripe, with a long, elegant finish. It's impressively complex, impeccably balanced and just a fantastic drink.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between, from a small (less than five acres in size) vineyard just upslope from the Eisele Vineyard, delivers more cherries and redder fruit than either Kayli Morgan or Ark, and the oak is less obvious on the nose. There's still plenty of that cigar box character on the full-bodied palate, where the wine is luscious, demonstrative and creamy-velvety in texture, with a long finish. It's the only one of proprietor Jayson Woodbridge's single vineyards to include anything besides Cabernet Sauvignon, in this case, 8-10% Cabernet Franc.

Deep garnet colored, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between prances out with fragrant earth and underbrush scents over a warm cassis and blackberry preserves core, plus wafts of unsmoked cigars and mossy tree bark. The medium to full-bodied palate reveals a perfumed, graceful expression of the vintage, featuring silky tannins and a lively backbone, finishing with a spicy kick.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Medium garnet in color, it comes bounding out of the glass with exuberant notes of dried cherries, boysenberry preserves, blackcurrant pastilles and charcuterie with hints of chocolate mint, rose oil and licorice, plus a waft of cardamom. The rich, full-bodied palate is tightly knit and youthful, delivering great tension among the layers upon layers of minerals, black fruits and floral notes, finishing very long and incredibly perfumed. Gorgeous.

The medium garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between belts out an aria of black cherries, kirsch, black raspberries, roses and lilacs scents with Indian spices, underbrush and cigar box nuances plus a waft of iron ore. The palate is full-bodied and firm yet plushly textured, generating wave after wave of perfumed elegance. It finishes epically long, multilayered and with great freshness, culminating in loads of captivating minerally sparks. Wow, just wow.
