The 2007 SANTORINI BARREL FERMENTED is not as well balanced in terms of oak treatment as this producer’s Nikteri, reviewed this issue. The oak is a bit obvious, although it is cut with good acidity. The finish is average, lacking the grip of the Nikteri or the crispness of the unoaked Santorini. Overall, it hangs together decently. Drink now-2012.
