The 2018 Zinfandel is composed of 86% Zinfandel, 11% Petite Sirah, 2% Pinot Noir and 1% Sangiovese. Deep garnet-purple colored, it delivers compelling notes of stewed red and black plums, fruitcake and raspberry pie with touches of Chinese five spice and potpourri. Full-bodied, the palate has loads of decadently spicy red and black fruit layers, framed by chewy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing on a lingering peppery note.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Zinfandel gives notes of barked red and black berries, earth, fried herbs, spice box and tobacco. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy with a lively line and earthy finish.

A very zinny Zin, packed with the variety’s briary blackberry, anise, dark chocolate, bacon and crushed black-pepper flavors. It’s the winery’s best Zinfandel since the 2006 vintage.——S.H.(4/1/2012)—— 91

The 2008 Zinfandel shows excellent depth in its sweet red cherries flowers and licorice. This is a subdued style of Zinfandel, yet the wine’s overall balance is quite good. The blend incorporates 16% Petite Sirah. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017. Tel. (707) 942-0753
