The 2008 Clos de Lolol is a blend of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Carmenere, with the balance Cabernet Franc and Syrah aged for 12 months in barrel. Wood smoke, tobacco, herbs, Asian spices, and assorted black fruits lead to a supple, elegantly styled wine that has enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years. The dark ruby-colored 2007 Clos do Lolol is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Carmenere, and Syrah with aromas of clove, sage, menthol, and blueberry. Slightly rustic and chunky on the palate, this structured wine will benefit from 2-3 years of additional cellaring. It will be at its best from 2011 to 2019. The 2005 Clos de Lolol is composed of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Carmenere aged for 18 months in 600-liter barrels. Dark ruby-colored, it exhibits an attractive nose of cedar, leather, violets, and cherry. Forward and elegantly-styled, this tasty effort is meant to be enjoyed during its first 5-6 years of life.
