The 2009 Humo Blanco Pinot Noir is made in a more serious style. It offers up a fragrant bouquet of cedar, incense, spice box, black cherry, and black raspberry setting the stage for a ripe, savory, velvety-textured wine with excellent depth, balance, and length. The 2008 Humo Blanco Pinot Noir (which contains 5% Syrah). It was aged sur lie in 600-liter barrels for 8-12 months. Medium ruby red in color, it displays an attractive nose of cedar, cherry blossom, cinnamon, black cherry, and black raspberry. This leads to a surprisingly full-bodied Pinot with good depth, plenty of ripe fruit, but not much subtlety. Drink it over the next 4 years. Importer: Winesellers, LTD, 7520 N.
