The entry-level Fattori 2020 Soave Danieli (closed in a screw-cap bottle, and made in steel vats) is zippy, fresh and clean. It's ideal for near-term drinking with the kinds of fun flavors you might find in a Chinese chicken salad with sesame seeds, toasted almonds and tangerine wedges. This pure expression of Garganega comes from vines planted in basalt volcanic soils in the Roncá or Monte Calvarina area, and a small part of the fruit (from just 5% to 10%) is left to mature longer on the vines, thus adding a bit more textural heft. Production is an ample 65,000 bottles.
