The promotional material for this wine says it’s to celebrate “the indomitable spirit and culture of the Big Easy,” New Orleans. It’s not only a bad wine, it’s an insult to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and a cynical attempt to play off the public’s sympathy. If Bronco Wine Co., which owns the brand, donated any of the profits to relief efforts, it would be one thing. But they’re not. Shame.——S.H.(12/31/2006)—— 80
