Truly superb, the 2001 Syrah Starlane Vineyard boasts a saturated plum/blue/purple color as well as a complex nose of barbeque spice, creme de cassis, chocolate, espresso roast, and licorice. Rich, full-bodied, multilayered, and long, this impressive offering can be enjoyed over the next decade. Epiphany is the relatively new label from Fess Parker’s son/winemaker, Eli, who is also responsible for the Fess Parker offerings, which have demonstrated a dramatic progression in quality over the last 4-5 vintages.
