The 2020 Pinot Noir Duvarita Vineyard, made entirely with destemmed fruit, features savory blood orange, tar and pipe tobacco with a core of bitters-laced cranberry and blackberry. Medium-bodied, concentrated yet very refreshing, it has a silky texture and long, spicy finish. 190 cases were made.

Pale ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Duvarita Vineyard has pure raspberry preserves and cranberry sauce on the nose with nuances of cured meats, dried flowers, autumn leaves and amaro. The palate is light-bodied bright, fresh and chalky, with citrusy sparks on the long finish.

Medium ruby, the 2016 Pinot Noir Duvarita Vineyard opens with woodsmoke, dusty earth, cranberries, sour cherries and wild blackberries with touches of tree bark, amaro and pipe tobacco. The palate is light-bodied and lively with great intensity, juicy acidity and a soft frame of grainy tannins, finishing earthy. 165 cases produced.

The 2015 Pinot Noir Duvarita Vineyard is very attractive, offering up a generous nose of ripe cherries, sweet spices and coniferous forest floor. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, satiny and expansive, with melting tannins and a juicy core of fruit. Like the Sta. Rita Hills appellation bottling, it's an open, inviting Pinot Noir that's already drinking well.

From a biodynamically farmed site on the western side of the Sta. Rita Hills, the 2013 Pinot Noir Duvarita Vineyard (previously known as Presidio Vineyard) is another cool climate beauty. This beauty has medium-bodied richness, lots of sour cherry, baking spice and forest floor aromas and flavors, and a layered, elegant personality. Completely destemmed and aged 16 months in 12% new French oak, it will keep for a decade.
