The 2020 Pinot Noir Fiddlestix Vineyard, picked before the heatwave and made with whole clusters, has a medium ruby color and alluring aromas of cranberry sauce, blueberry, mixed tea leaves and lavender, picking up earthy nuances as it spends time in the glass. Medium-bodied, lightly chalky and fresh, the palate has it all—concentrated, spicy fruits, generous floral perfume and a very long, detailed finish. What a lovely expression! 490 cases were made.

Medium ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Fiddlestix Vineyard is scented of cranberry and blackberry with notes of bitters, graphite, earth and pipe tobacco. The medium-bodied palate is alluringly chalky and juicy, with a deep core of fruit and a very long, nuanced finish.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Fiddlestix Vineyard has a medium ruby color and a bright nose of sour cherries, crushed stone, tart cranberries, blackberries, underbrush and hints of woodsmoke and Earl Grey tea leaves. The palate is light-bodied with crunchy red fruits, a soft frame and juicy acidity, finishing on an earthy note. 350 cases produced.

Black cherries, leather, scorched earth and licorice are some of the more masculine notes that emerge from the 2013 Pinot Noir Fiddlestix, which spent 20 months (on lees) in 28% new French oak. Slightly reserved aromatically and closed, yet with plenty of potential, it hits the palate with solid depth of fruit, tons of fruit and texture and ripe tannin, all of which suggest it will be better with 1-2 years of bottle age.

Earthy and more mineral-driven, with a slightly reticent bouquet of saline-like minerality, ripe cherries and loamy earth the 2011 Pinot Noir Fiddlestix is medium-bodied, structured and broad shouldered, with a big frame that needs time to fill in.
