The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a rich, full-bodied effort blended of 75% Cabernet and 25% Merlot. Very deep garnet-black colored, the nose provides classic notes of black currant, violets, allspice, graphite and cigar boxes. The palate is currently tightly-knit yielding firm, fine tannins, crisp acidity, and a good amount of fruit in the long finish. This Bordeaux blend is best consumed 2011 to 2018+. Dominique Portet does not have a US importer but exports to Dubai, Hong Kong, China, Holland, Canada and Singapore.

Distinctive and beautifully focused, with a dusky herb character underlying the juicy currant and blueberry fruit, shaded with white pepper and a vaguely toasty edge. Best from 2008 through 2012. 60 cases imported.??–HS??Region: Australia / Victoria / Yarra Valley Select to Add
