The 2003 Crozes Hermitage Tete De Cuvee, which spent 12 months in 33% new French demi-muids, offers beautiful violet, spiced meat, leather and blackcurrant aromas and flavors as well as medium to full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. Nicely textured and showing some maturity, it will drink well for another 3-4 years.
The young rugby player (and now couch) Yann Chave did well in the vintage, with both his Crozes Hermitage and Hermitage being outstanding.
