Open and charming, the 2019 Pernand-Vergelesses Les Combottes Blanc bursts with aromas of peach, white flowers, toasted almonds, pear and nutmeg. Medium-bodied, bright and giving, it concludes with a mouthwateringly chalky finish.

Scents of crisp Anjou pear, citrus oil, warm bread and nutmeg introduce the 2018 Pernand-Vergelesses Les Combottes Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy wine that's elegantly textural but racy, exemplifying the charm of which this appellation and this vintage are capable. It was vinified in 350-liter barrels, which seems to have been a good choice.

The 2012 Pernand-Vergelesses les Combottes Blanc has a generous nose ladling out melted beeswax and praline scents, nicely defined if just a little obvious perhaps? The palate is fresh on the entry with lovely balance, well-integrated oak and subtle, tropical tones toward the harmonious finish. What a lovely Pernand from Raper Père & Fils! This is well worth looking out for.
