Enough wood to comment on surrounds the attractively fresh and lightly spicy aromas of mostly red and dark pinot fruit where hints of plum and violet add depth. The delicious, vibrant and solidly well-detailed medium weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the rich, sappy and moderately firm finish where the wood telegraphed by the nose resurfaces. To be sure the wood remains in the background and overall, this is really quite good and my sense is that it will need the better part of a decade to arrive at its peak. Worth a look.

Ample wood fights somewhat with the ripe and pretty red berry fruit aromas for center stage that lead to sappy and delicious flavors that are not particularly elegant though there is good complexity on the balanced finish. Again, this will best suit those who enjoy obvious wood though I stress that it does not dominate the palate impression though it is more than I personally enjoy.

An expressive and elegant nose features aromas of cherry and ripe red raspberry serves as a lovely foil for the relatively rich and round flavors that are attractive but ultimately less complex and vibrant. To be sure, this is perfectly good and finishes with ample intensity.
