The estate makes two C?tes du Rh?ne reds, both of which are well worth seeking out. Starting with the 2015 C?tes du Rh?ne Paroles de Femme, it’s the more forward, sexy and red fruit-driven of the two and has medium to full-bodied richness, impressive purity and a complex, already hard to resist profile.

A terrific C?tes du Rh?ne, the 2014 C?tes du Rh?ne Paroles de Femme is comprised of 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvédre, 10% Cinsault and 10% very old vine Carignan. Vinified and aged all in concrete tanks, it possesses loads of plum, licorice and roasted Proven?al herbs characteristics in its medium to full-bodied, plump, mouth-filling style. It’s rock solid and should be a great value.

The delicious, bistro-styled 2013 C?tes du Rh?ne Paroles de Femme exhibits plenty of Bing cherry, new leather and hints of chocolate-laced herbs to go with a nicely concentrated, straightforward style on the palate. Made from 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 10% Cinsault and 10% old-vine Carignan, it has bright acidity, good texture and at least 3-4 years of prime drinking.

The C?tes du Rh?ne Paroles de Femme has plenty of black cherry and assorted berry fruit, leather, chocolate and Provencal herb qualities to go with a juicy, layered and nicely textured style. The blend here is 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 10% Cinsault and 10% old-vine Carignan, all of which spent 12 months in concrete tank. It should drink nicely for 5-6 years.

The 2011 Cotes du Rhone Paroles de Femme offers abundant notes of Provencal herbs, lavender, licorice, kirsch and hints of pepper as well as roasted meats. This fruity, up-front luscious Cotes du Rhone could easily compete with some of the better Chateauneuf du Papes in this vintage. A microscopic estate owned by Coralie Goumarre, Domaine Galevan was established, remarkably, in 1780, but the first estate-bottled wine did not emerge until 1968. I was blown away by these four red wine cuvees, and both of the 2010s have jumped dramatically in score since I tasted them from barrel last year.
