The medium ruby-colored 2001 Cotes du Rhone-Villages reveals a less generous, cooler climate character than the 2000, along with wonderfully fragrant aromas of raspberries, cherries, spice box, and currants. With moderate body as well as a spicy finish, it should drink well for 2-3 years. Readers should be seeking out the wines of this serious estate as prices do not yet reflect the quality. An Alain Corcia Selection, various American importers, including Charmer Industries, NY; tel.
