The 2014 Saint Romain Villages, which comes mostly from south-facing vines in "En Jarron," was rather muted on the nose when I encountered it. The palate is much more promising with a cheeky marine-like influence. There's is almost a Muscadet-like salinity here, taut and focused with good weight on the finish. Once the aromatics awaken, this will be a fine Saint Romain.
