A blend of Mouvedre, Grenache and Cinsault cropped at just 35hl/ha, this is a very fine 2004. A simple nose of blackberry leaf, earth and black tea. Moderate definition but very tight at the moment. The full-bodied palate is very focused, lovely poise and very well integrated tannins. Not short on vivacity with a bewitching minerally heart. A little linear on the blueberry tinged finish. Very fine. Drinking 2012-2018

Produced from a blend of 60% Mourvedre, 20% Grenache, and 20% Cinsault, the road tar-scented 1999 Bandol is medium to dark ruby-colored. It boasts gorgeously fresh layers of cassis, juicy blackberries, and cherries in its lively, deep personality. This wine has oodles of fruit, sur-maturite characteristics, and a firm yet well-ripened finish.
