From the Les Murets Vineyard, the 2006 Hermitage blanc (60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne) exhibits good texture, a full-bodied personality, and an unctuous richness of white currants, quince, honeyed citrus, and roasted hazelnuts. It is a dense, powerful white to enjoy over the next 10-15 years. Intelligently made, fresh, lively, concentrated wines emerge from the Domaine Belle, a modestly-sized Crozes-Hermitage estate that remains under the radar of most consumers. A Crozes-Hermitage cuvee from the granite soils of Larnage has recently been added to the portfolio.Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
