Rich and creamy, the spice-scented 2000 Gewurztraminer Wintzenheim is thick, concentrated, and dense. Minerals, stones, apricots, and roses can be found in its structured, spicy personality. A trace of bitterness (frequently found in wines from this varietal) in the finish prevented it from earning an outstanding score. Projected maturity: Now-2009.
