This is a new addition to the Dievole portfolio with a cool, retro-styled label. The organic 2020 Chianti Classico Petrignano is 100% Sangiovese fermented in cement tulips and aged in large oak casks over 12 months. Winemaking is simple and to the point. These results show vibrant freshness and pretty fruit purity with a focused delivery. The fruit comes from a seven-hectare site with rocky limestone soils. This is a great value wine, with 40,000 bottles released.

This is a new submission from Dievole that focuses on the Sangiovese grape exclusively. The organic 2019 Chianti Classico Petrignano is fermented in tulip-shaped cement vats and aged in botte grande for 13 months. Some 10,000 bottles were made. The wine offers easy balance and freshness with textbook aromas of cherry, wild fruit, tar and smoke. It's all very becoming for an entry-level wine such as this.
