Edda means "her" in the local dialect of Puglia. The 2015 Edda (an IGT Bianco Salento) opens to sun-drenched aromas of honeysuckle, white jasmine, Golden Delicious apple and almond blossom. There's a slightly sweet and spicy note of cinnamon bun or apple pie at the back. You can't mistake this for anything but a wine from the deep south of Italy. The blend is 80% Chardonnay, 15% Moscatello Selvatico and 5% Fiano and the wine rests on the lees in barrique for four months.
