The 2011 Real de Aragón is pure Garnacha from very old vineyards aged for ten months in used barrels. It's bright ruby-colored with a subtle nose of red berries with hints of spices and Mediterranean herbs, moderately ripe for a warm vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with abundant, slightly dusty tannins, a fine texture with some creaminess from the oak, ending slightly bitter and dry. 50,000 bottles produced.
